Shopify Sidekick integration

ℹ️ The Shopify Sidekick integration is included on every QuotWay plan. Sidekick itself is free on every Shopify plan. Some answers reflect features tied to your plan — for example, per-company analytics is an Enterprise, B2B-capable feature. See Plans, trial, and billing.
What you can do
Shopify Sidekick is Shopify's built-in AI assistant — you chat with it from any page in your admin. With QuotWay installed, Sidekick can answer questions about your quotes in plain language, reading straight from QuotWay.
The integration is read-only: Sidekick looks things up and summarizes them. It does not create, edit, send, convert, or open a quote on its own — you take any action yourself in QuotWay, where your normal rules and approvals apply.
Prerequisites
- Have QuotWay installed (any plan).
- Open Sidekick from the icon in your Shopify admin (free, built into Shopify).
What you can ask

How to use it
- In your Shopify admin, click the Sidekick icon (usually top right).
- Ask about your quotes in plain language — Sidekick picks the right QuotWay tool and reads the answer back, often with the quote's reference so you can find it.
- To act on a quote, open it in QuotWay and use the normal buttons (send a proposal, counter, convert, decline). Sidekick doesn't take those actions for you.
Good to know
- Read-only and approval-safe. Sidekick never changes your quotes; it only reports what's there.
- Your permissions apply. Answers respect each staff member's QuotWay role — a view-only teammate can't surface data they couldn't already see.
- Only what you asked. Tools return the specific data requested — no payment-card data or secrets.
- Answers reflect your plan. The integration is on every plan; features like per-company analytics require Enterprise with a B2B-capable store.
- Opening/acting from Sidekick is coming. Today Sidekick answers questions (read-only). The ability to open or act on a quote from within Sidekick depends on a Shopify platform capability we've requested; it isn't available yet.
