The analytics dashboard and its KPIs
Read time: 5 minutes. Last updated: June 20, 2026 Who it's for: Merchants who want to see how their quoting is performing - pipeline value, conversion rate, and response time - and who need custom date ranges or a CSV export for reporting.
QuotWay turns your quote activity into a small set of metrics you can act on. The dashboard shows the headline numbers at a glance; the Analytics page goes deeper with the same KPIs over a window you choose. This article covers what each metric means, the 7-day view that every plan gets, and the custom date ranges and CSV export that come with the Professional plan and above.
What KPIs does QuotWay track?
The dashboard and the Analytics page report the metrics that tell you whether your quoting is healthy and where it's leaking. The main ones:
- Pipeline value - the total value of open quotes that haven't yet been accepted, declined, or expired. This is your live opportunity: the money on the table right now.
- Conversion rate - the share of quotes that end in an accepted proposal. It's the single best signal of how well your proposals land, and worth watching as you change pricing or wording.
- Response time - how long, on average, it takes from a buyer's request to your first proposal. Faster responses tend to convert better, so this is the metric to tighten if conversion is soft.
- Quote volume - how many quotes were requested in the window, so you can tie activity to the storefront and targeting changes you make.
- Accepted value - the total value of quotes that converted, so pipeline and outcomes sit side by side.
Each number is for the period you're viewing, so the same KPI reads differently across a 7-day snapshot and a custom quarter.
What's the difference between the dashboard and the Analytics page?
The dashboard is the home screen of the QuotWay admin. It surfaces the headline KPIs plus a "needs attention" view, so the first thing you see is where to act. It's the quick pulse-check.
The Analytics page (in the app nav) is the reporting surface. It shows the same KPIs but lets you set the window, compare periods, and export the underlying data. Use the dashboard to triage day to day, and Analytics when you're preparing a report or reviewing a trend.
What can I see on every plan?
Every plan - Lite, Starter, Professional, and Enterprise - includes the dashboard KPIs and a 7-day view of analytics. The 7-day view shows the last week of pipeline value, conversion rate, response time, and volume, with no setup. It's enough to keep a finger on the pulse without upgrading.
What the 7-day view doesn't do is let you pick an arbitrary window or pull the numbers out of the app - those are the Professional-and-above features below.
How do custom date ranges and CSV export work?
On the Professional plan and above, the Analytics page unlocks two things:
- Custom date ranges - choose any start and end date (last 30 days, last quarter, a specific month, year to date) instead of the fixed 7-day window. Every KPI recalculates for the range you pick, so you can review a campaign, a season, or a full quarter.
- CSV export - download the quotes behind the metrics as a CSV. Use it to build your own report, reconcile against orders, or hand the numbers to finance. The export reflects the range and filters currently applied.
⚠️ Custom date ranges and CSV export require the Professional plan or higher.
If you're on Lite or Starter and need a longer window or an export, upgrading to Professional unlocks both immediately. See Plans, billing & quote limits for what each tier includes.
How are quotes in different currencies counted?
If you quote in more than one currency, every value-based KPI - pipeline value, accepted value - is summed in your shop's base currency. QuotWay captures a base-currency total on each quote at intake using the same exchange-rate snapshot it uses for display, so a pipeline mixing EUR, GBP, and CAD quotes still adds up to one meaningful number. For the details of how that aggregation works, see Mixed-currency reporting.
