The hidden cost of manual quoting

Manual email quotes cost you deals you should be winning

When B2B quotes live in inboxes and spreadsheets, prices get retyped by hand, the same buyer gets a different number each time, and “did they accept?” becomes a guess. Wholesale buyers walk away when they can’t get a quote or pricing the way they expect.

From inbox chaos to a clear, connected workflow.

A configurable form captures what you need to price - quantity, company, and contact.

  3. 3

Add your own custom fields, and let buyers attach specs or drawings. (Starter+)

Submitted - every request lands in one organized QuotWay inbox, not scattered across emails.

The difference

Built for Shopify merchants who need negotiation, not just quote forms

Most quote apps stop at “submit a form, reply by email.” QuotWay gives you a real, round-by-round negotiation engine - and a record of every step.

Versioned proposals

Each round is captured as an immutable version, so you always know what was offered and agreed - at every step.

Two-way counter-offers

Buyers counter from their account or the buyer portal; you counter back within your floor price. No email thread.

Auditable by design

An append-only event log records the full lifecycle - useful for approvals, disputes, and compliance.

Your quotes live where your business already runs

QuotWay isn't a separate silo. It reads your real Shopify products, customers, and companies, and writes back real draft orders. Accept part of a quote and convert just those lines; split a quote into multiple orders; quote in your buyer's currency with the exchange rate locked at quote time. When you uninstall, your Shopify data is still your Shopify data.

Safe to trust with your deals — here's why

Rated 5.0 on the Shopify App Store — and here's the substance behind it. Every point below is how QuotWay is built, not a claim we'd ask you to take on faith.

5.0 on the Shopify App Store · 3 reviews
  • Native Shopify draft orders - accepted quotes become real orders; no parallel data silo.
  • Auditable lifecycle - an append-only event log records every quote from request to order.
  • File safety - buyer and message attachments are type-validated and rejected if they contain active or malicious content - a file-type and active-content check, not a virus scan.
  • Built with GDPR support - data-request and erasure webhooks supported; you control retention.

Questions merchants ask

Does QuotWay work with my theme, and do I need a developer?

No developer needed. You add QuotWay's "Request a quote" button and form from the Shopify theme editor using app blocks - no theme code to edit. It works with Online Store 2.0 themes (Dawn, Horizon, and most modern themes qualify), and a guided onboarding walks you through setup, so most merchants are live in minutes.

Is QuotWay free?

Yes. The Lite plan is free forever and includes up to 10 quotes per month with a complete quote-to-order workflow. Paid plans (Starter $29, Professional $79, Enterprise $199/mo) add more volume and features, and include a 14-day free trial.

Can buyers negotiate, or just request a quote?

Buyers can negotiate. They submit counter-offers from their customer account or the hosted buyer portal, and you counter back - every round is versioned and recorded. Merchant counter-offers are on every plan; buyer counter-offers are on Starter and above. Each round is captured as an immutable version, so you always know what was offered and agreed.

How do I convert a quote into a draft order?

Accept the quote and convert it in one click - QuotWay creates a native Shopify draft order with the negotiated line prices carried over exactly, never a CSV export. Before converting, drift detection re-checks tax and shipping so totals don't surprise you. Invoicing, payment, and fulfillment then happen in Shopify, where your business already runs.

Can I control who sees the quote button and hidden prices?

Yes - that's what targeting is for. You decide exactly which products and which buyers see the "Request a quote" button, and whose prices hide: by product, collection, tag, type, vendor, customer, customer tag, customer segment, or logged-in vs. guest. So wholesale buyers get the quote path while retail shoppers keep checking out as normal on the same store.

Do I need Shopify Plus to use QuotWay?

No. QuotWay works on standard Shopify stores. Shopify B2B features such as Companies, Locations, and Payment Terms (on the Enterprise plan) require a store with B2B enabled - for example Shopify Plus - but Shopify extended Companies and payment terms beyond Plus, so a B2B-capable store on another plan qualifies too. QuotWay detects your store's B2B capability automatically.
