Work on your quotes straight from Shopify Sidekick

Sidekick could already answer questions about your quotes; now it can take you to them and set up the next step. Ask “show me my open quotes” and every quote reference is clickable - one click opens that exact quote in QuotWay. With a quote open, ask “prepare a proposal at 10% off” and the proposal editor opens with the discount applied, ready for you to review the line prices and press Send. Ask “create a quote for buyer@example.com” and the new-quote form opens with the email already filled in. Sidekick prepares; you send - every price, send and conversion is still yours to confirm, and your approval policies apply exactly as before. Works on every plan.

Deposits on negotiated quotes (Shopify Plus)

Deposits on negotiated quotes. Ask for part-payment up front: set a deposit percentage on any proposal - wholesale or B2B - right next to payment terms, and when the accepted quote converts, the deposit rides the Shopify draft order so Shopify checkout collects it natively. The buyer sees the deposit on their quote, in their Shopify customer account, and on every PDF; they can counter the percentage (or propose none) like any other term, with the whole negotiation versioned. Shopify computes the exact due-now/due-later split - QuotWay shows it at Calculate, on the converted order, and the balance follows the quote’s payment terms (think “50% down, balance Net 30”). Automation rules can require a deposit automatically (e.g. 50% on quotes over $10K), approval policies can demand a manager’s sign-off when a deposit is lowered or waived, and Settings can pre-fill a default deposit above a chosen order value or on quotes with custom items. Deposits are a Shopify Plus platform feature - available on Shopify Plus stores, from the Professional plan (percentage-based, 1-99%).

Create a B2B company quote from your admin

Sales reps can now start a company-aware quote from the Shopify admin, not only from a buyer’s storefront request. On Create quote, switch “Quote for” to “A B2B company”, then pick the Shopify Company, its Location, and a contact — the quote is tagged B2B (company) and carries the company, location, and contact through to the draft order, with payment terms and the location’s catalog price as the negotiation baseline. If the contact isn’t listed, add one by email: a match keeps the quote company-aware, and anything unmatched becomes a regular wholesale quote with the company name kept for reference — QuotWay never guesses a company attribution. Linking an existing customer who belongs to a company also prompts you to switch the quote to B2B in one click. Creating a company quote yourself is on the Enterprise plan with a B2B-capable store.

Price floor - a guardrail under every quote

Set a maximum discount below catalog - shop-wide in Settings → General, or per automation rule - and every outgoing price is checked against it, line by line (B2B quotes check against the buyer’s company catalog price). In the proposal editor, a below-floor line shows a warning badge and sending it takes an explicit “Send below floor anyway” confirmation, recorded in the quote’s activity - the editor safeguard works on every plan. Automation never prices below the floor: auto-send and auto-accept skip below-floor quotes for a human (the skip and its reason show in Recent activity), auto-send can instead counter at exactly the floor price, and a new “Deepest line discount %” condition lets automation rules and approval steps react to the single deepest line discount in a quote - even one hiding in an otherwise full-price request. Automation, including its floor fields, is Professional and up.

Ask Shopify Sidekick about your quotes

QuotWay now works with Shopify Sidekick, the AI assistant built into the Shopify admin. Ask Sidekick about your quotes in plain language and get answers straight from QuotWay - a quote’s status and next step, open quotes by amount or company, quotes waiting on approval, quotes that need attention, pipeline metrics (conversion rate, win rate, open pipeline value), top quoted products and customers, B2B company and location insights, and how your quote button, automation, and approval rules are set up. It’s read-only and available on every QuotWay plan (answers reflect the features on your plan), and Sidekick never changes anything without your approval. Sidekick itself is free on every Shopify plan.

    B2B company-aware quoting

When a logged-in Shopify B2B Company contact requests a quote, QuotWay now ties it to the buyer’s Company, Location, and contact and tags it as a company quote - not wholesale - all the way through to the draft order. Buyers see their company name, their location’s address, and any Payment Terms on their quotes; your proposals start from the buyer’s company-location catalog price list, and lines that aren’t on that catalog are flagged so you don’t quote off-list. You can also filter the Quotes inbox by B2B vs Wholesale/DTC. Company-aware quoting is on the Enterprise plan with a B2B-capable store.

    Bulk quote requests by SKU

Build a quote from a list of SKUs instead of one product at a time. From the Quotes page, paste a list of SKUs or upload a CSV and QuotWay resolves them to priced lines in one step (Professional and up). Logged-in buyers can do the same in their Shopify customer account - paste SKUs or upload a CSV, adjust quantities, remove lines, and submit the request - with duplicate SKUs merged and anything not quotable called out before they send.

    Per-company analytics

The analytics dashboard now splits quote value and volume between B2B (company) and Wholesale/DTC and ranks your top companies by quoted value. Click a company to filter the whole dashboard - KPIs, funnel, and totals - to just that company’s activity, and the CSV export carries the top-companies breakdown. Available on Enterprise with a B2B-capable store.

Duplicate a quote, and buyer reorder

Duplicate any quote from its page to start a fresh one pre-filled with the same buyer, items, and details - prices reset so you re-quote cleanly, and B2B company context carries over (Starter and up). Buyers can hit “Request again” on a past quote to re-request the same items in a couple of taps, carrying across only the items still available to them.

Shopify Flow - triggers and actions

QuotWay now works with Shopify Flow, Shopify’s free no-code automation app. On Professional and up, quote events - submitted, proposal sent, countered, accepted, declined, expired, converted, and approval requested/granted/rejected - can start a Flow workflow, each carrying the quote number, total, currency, customer, and a deep link so you can branch on conditions like a total over a threshold. On Enterprise, Flow can act on a quote too: update its status, assign it to a staff member, or post a message to the buyer. One-click starter templates are in Flow’s library, and Flow is free on every paid Shopify plan.

Quote on autopilot - automation rules

Build rules with the same condition builder as approval policies: auto-send proposals for small orders at the buyer’s requested price (with a safety cap), auto-decline deep-discount requests with a polite message, route big quotes to the right team member, and nudge buyers who go quiet. Every action is logged on the quote’s timeline, and one switch pauses everything. Professional and above.

    Create quotes yourself

Quotes no longer have to start with a buyer request. Hit Create quote on the Quotes page, pick a customer (or type any email for a new lead), add products from your catalog or custom lines, and land straight in the proposal editor to price and send. Buyers get the same email, portal, and customer-account experience as storefront requests. Starter and above.

    Expiry reminders and automatic expiry

Quotes now expire on their own: once a sent proposal passes its expiry date it’s marked Expired automatically, and the buyer can be notified. Before that, buyers get a reminder email a set number of days ahead. Reminders are sent once per quote, on Starter and above.

    Attach files to messages

Conversations on a quote can now carry files - spec sheets, revised terms, signed paperwork - from your Messages composer, the buyer portal, and the customer-account page. Buyers get an email naming the files with a link into the thread. Message attachments are available on Professional and above.

Quote button in the cart drawer

The quote button now appears in your theme’s cart drawer (mini-cart), right above the checkout button - no theme setup needed. It shows when the cart contains quote-eligible items, uses your cart button styling, and one click moves those items into a quote request. On by default; available on Starter and above.

    Smarter buyer emails

Quote emails now send buyers straight to their Shopify customer account when your store uses new customer accounts - opening the exact quote, no separate portal login. Guests and legacy-account stores keep the secure portal link. Emails also got a cleaner look with a fallback link under every button.

    Clearer feedback everywhere

Every save, create, and delete across the app now confirms with a quick toast, and form problems show up right next to the field that needs fixing - with the cursor moved there for you.

    A visual approval policy builder

Approval policies are now built on a visual flow: see when the policy runs, which quotes it catches, every approval step, and what happens at the end - all on one canvas. Start from a template, pick products and companies with real pickers instead of IDs, run steps in parallel, and choose exactly who timeouts escalate to. Professional and above.
