Buyers see their quotes in two places, both included on every QuotWay plan: inside their native Shopify customer account (“My quotes,” alongside their orders) and in a hosted buyer portal at portal.quotway.com reached by a magic link. From either one they can accept, decline, counter-offer, and message you.

What’s the difference between the customer account and the hosted portal?

The customer-account view lives inside the buyer’s native Shopify account, so account holders manage quotes with no extra login. The hosted portal is reached by a magic link sent to the buyer’s email, which is ideal for guest buyers and for stores still on legacy (classic) customer accounts where the native account extension isn’t available. Both offer the same accept, decline, counter, and message actions.

Can buyers counter-offer and message me from the portal?

Yes. Buyers can accept, decline, and counter-offer a proposal from the customer account or the hosted portal, and every round is captured as a versioned record. Buyer counter-offers and in-app buyer-to-merchant messaging are available on Starter and above; message attachments are available on Professional and above.

Can I put my own branding on the portal and PDFs?

Yes, on Starter and above. You can add your logo and brand color to the buyer portal and to your quote PDFs, and remove the “powered by QuotWay” footer, so the buyer experience looks like your store.
