Connect your quotes to the rest of your stack
QuotWay’s REST API lets your ERP, CRM or custom storefront read quotes and send in new quote requests, and signed webhooks tell your systems the moment a buyer accepts, counters or converts. Scoped keys, PII-free payloads and documented limits. Available on the Enterprise plan - including during the 14-day free trial.

Two ways in
QuotWay connects to other systems two ways: a REST API your systems call to read and create quotes, and webhooks QuotWay sends to your systems whenever a quote changes. Most integrations use both - a webhook says something happened, the API says here’s the detail.
- REST API - https://api.quotway.com/v1: list and retrieve quotes, create quote requests, post messages, send a proposal your team priced, download PDFs and pull analytics
- Webhooks - a signed HTTPS request for 25 quote events, from a new request to an approved, converted and paid order
What you can build
Examples of what you can connect with the API and webhooks together.
ERP and order sync
Get quote.converted the moment a draft order is created and quote.order_completed when it’s paid, then pull the quote’s lines and totals into your ERP.
CRM pipeline
Mirror every quote as a deal: webhooks move the stage, the API fills in the value - using the quote’s headline figure, so a partially accepted quote shows what was actually agreed, not the original offer.
Headless and custom storefronts
Send quote requests from any front end with POST /v1/quotes. They go through the same targeting rules, form validation and automation as your Online Store.
Finance and reporting
Sync quotes into a warehouse incrementally, or pull pre-computed pipeline, conversion and response-time metrics by day, week or month.
Team alerts
Route quote.merchant_approval.requested or a high-value quote.created to the tool your team already watches.
Enterprise
Built for production
The API is built for the systems B2B merchants actually run: predictable, documented, and safe to retry.
Scoped keys
Five scopes (read quotes, read buyer personal data, read analytics, write quotes, manage webhooks). Optional expiry and IP allowlists. Roll a key with a 24-hour overlap, or revoke it instantly. Admin-only.
Buyer data is opt-in
A quote includes the buyer’s name, email, phone and addresses only for a key granted the buyer-data scope. Webhook payloads never include buyer personal data - they name the quote and link to it.
Standard Webhooks signatures
Verify deliveries with the official open-source libraries for Node, Python and more. Rotate a secret with a 24-hour overlap.
Retries you don’t have to think about
Failed deliveries retry for about 3.7 days on a backoff schedule; a delivery log shows every attempt, and you can resend any delivery.
Nothing lost
Every event is also available from an events feed for 30 days, with the same ids as the webhooks - so a receiver that was down can catch up.
Safe retries
An Idempotency-Key on every write means a network timeout can’t create a duplicate quote or message.
Clear contracts
OpenAPI 3.1 spec, RFC 9457 errors with a stable code for every failure, cursor pagination, and published rate limits (120 requests/minute per key, 300 per store).
Your team stays in charge of pricing
The QuotWay API never sets a price. It can record a buyer’s request and send a proposal your team already priced and saved - and even then, your price floor and approval policies still apply exactly as they do in the admin.
- API quote requests use Shopify’s catalog prices; your team prices the proposal as usual
- Sending a staged proposal below your price floor needs the same explicit confirmation the admin asks for - and the floor counts any whole-quote discount, just as in the admin
- A fixed whole-quote discount larger than the proposal subtotal is refused (422 invalid_proposal)
- If an approval policy applies, the proposal waits for your approver instead of going to the buyer
Connect in four steps
- 1
Create a key
In QuotWay, open Settings → Integrations → API keys, choose the scopes, and copy the key.
- 2
Make your first call
A curl request to https://api.quotway.com/v1/ping with the key confirms the store and scopes.
- 3
Add a webhook endpoint
In Settings → Integrations → Webhooks, add your HTTPS URL, pick the events, and copy the signing secret.
- 4
Verify and process
Verify each delivery’s signature, respond 200, and fetch the quote when you need its detail.

Questions, answered
Does QuotWay have an API?
Yes. QuotWay has a REST API at https://api.quotway.com/v1 for reading quotes, creating quote requests, posting messages, sending staged proposals, downloading quote PDFs and reading analytics. It’s documented with an OpenAPI 3.1 specification and is available on the Enterprise plan.
Does QuotWay support webhooks?
Yes. QuotWay sends a signed HTTPS webhook for 25 quote events - including quote created, proposal sent, countered, accepted, partially accepted, declined, converted to a draft order, order paid, and approval requested or decided. Webhooks follow the Standard Webhooks specification and are available on the Enterprise plan.
Which plan includes the API and webhooks?
Enterprise ($199/month). A store on the 14-day free trial can use both, so you can build and test before subscribing. If a store moves to a lower plan, its keys and endpoints are kept but paused.
Can I create quotes from a headless storefront?
Yes. POST /v1/quotes records a buyer’s quote request from any front end. Lines reference Shopify product variants (or are custom lines), and the request goes through the store’s targeting rules, quote-form validation and automation rules, exactly like a request from the Online Store.
Can the API change prices or accept a quote?
No. The API never sets or edits prices, and it can’t accept, decline or convert a quote on anyone’s behalf. It can send a proposal your team has already priced and saved in QuotWay, and your price floor and approval policies still apply.
Do webhooks include customer data?
No. Webhook payloads identify the quote and carry a short summary - status, currency and totals - but never the buyer’s name, email, phone or address. Fetch the quote from the API with a key that has the buyer-data scope when you need those details.
What happens if my endpoint is down?
QuotWay retries a failed delivery seven times over about 3.7 days, and every event stays available from the events feed for 30 days, so you can catch up. An endpoint that fails continuously for five days is switched off and the store is emailed.
Is there a Zapier app or a HubSpot integration?
Not today. You can connect QuotWay to other tools with the REST API and webhooks, and to Shopify’s own automation with the Shopify Flow integration.
