# Analytics summary

**Who it's for:** Developers feeding QuotWay metrics into a BI tool, spreadsheet or dashboard.

## Get the summary - `GET /v1/analytics/summary`

| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| `period` | `day`, `week` or `month`. Default `month`. Weeks start on Monday (ISO weeks); all periods are in UTC. |
| `limit` | How many periods to return, 1–36. Default 12. |

Periods are returned **newest first**.

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `currency` | The store's base currency. Every money value is converted into it. |
| `quotes.*` | Counts of quotes in the period - total, new, accepted in full, partially accepted, declined, expired and converted. |
| `value.accepted` | Value of quotes accepted in the period. |
| `value.pipeline` | Value of open quotes, observed when the period was last computed (a point-in-time figure). |
| `value.converted` | Value converted to Shopify draft orders in the period. |
| `avg_discount_pct` | Average discount, in percent. `null` when there's nothing to average. |
| `avg_first_response_minutes` | Average time to the store's first response. |
| `avg_negotiation_days`, `avg_conversion_days` | Average negotiation and conversion times. |
| `computed_at` | When the row was last computed. |

## How fresh is it?

The summary reads **pre-computed snapshots**, never live data, so it's fast and cheap to call.

- **Days** are computed once they're complete, in a nightly run at about 02:30 UTC. Today isn't
  included.
- **The current week and month** are recomputed each night from the days so far, so they grow until
  the period ends.
- Periods with no snapshot are simply absent. Snapshots that were back-filled for older dates carry
  a pipeline value of `0.00`, because the pipeline can only be observed on the night.
